Manuscripts . These lions come from an initial letter in the Book of Kells,

illuminated by Celtic monks in the 7th century. The necklet with its central

The Camhayle Brooch 
"Cam-hayle" is Cornish for "crooked estuary" and is the origin of the name of the River Camel in North Cornwall. Our Camhayle Booch is a traditional penannular brooch in hand polished pewter with a robust 2mm pin and set with a pair of amber cabochons. The brooch is richly covered with Celtic designs of entwined birds, spirals, knotwork and key patterns and is suitable for wearing with a loosely woven scarf or shawl. The daintily stepping horse seen here is carved on an ancient Pictish granite slab and is now in the Kirkyard at Inverurie in Aberdeenshire.
